Sheldon Emergency Crews Respond To Accident On Highway 18

Sheldon, Iowa — Sheldon emergency crews were dispatched to the scene of an accident in Sheldon on Thursday (8/22/13).
The call went out about 11:15 AM Thursday morning to Highway 18 near Goedken Monument Company. That’s between Fifth and Sixth Avenues on the highway — or Park Street. According to on-scene reports, it appeared that a semi rear-ended a pickup in the west bound lane. One person was transported to the hospital. EMA was called to direct traffic.
The Sheldon Community Ambulance Team, Sheldon Emergency Management, and the Sheldon Police Department responded to the accident.
