2 Injured in Motorcycle Accident

Sutherland, Iowa — A Paullina man and Sutherland woman were injured in an accident near Sutherland on Sunday, September 3rd.

The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office reports that just before 9 pm on Sunday, 39-year-old Jennifer Rohlfsen of Sutherland was driving a 2016 Harley Davidson southbound on Vine Avenue, north of Sutherland. Sixty-one-year-old Frederick Kruse of Paullina was driving a 2015 Indian motorcycle southbound on Vine Avenue next to Rohlfsen. According to the report, Rohlfsen was attempted to make a right hand turn onto 420th Street as Kruse was positioning himself to the outside portion of the lane. Kruse side swiped Rohlfsen causing Kruse to lose control and fall his side coming to rest in the opposite lane.

Both Kruse and Rohlfsen were injured in the accident and both were taken to Baum Harmon Hospital in Primghar by private vehicles.

No injuries were reported.
