Archer, Iowa — An Archer woman was taken to the hospital after an accident near Archer.
The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office reports that about 1:55 PM on Tuesday, June 7, 2016, 73 -year-old Karen Engeltjes of Archer was driving a 2006 Buick southbound on Oriole Avenue, on the north end of Archer.
The report says that her vehicle entered the east ditch and rolled becoming airborne. It came to rest on its wheels. According to the report, Engeltjes says she believes she passed out while driving and she stated she doesn’t remember the events of the crash.
The Sheldon Community Ambulance Team took Engeltjes to Sanford Sheldon Hospital.
Engeltjes’ Buick sustained $4740 in damages, which was enough to total the car.
