Boyden Man Hits Church

sioux county sheriffBoyden, Iowa — A Boyden man hit First Reformed Church in Boyden on Sunday, July 5th.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports, that at about 9:06 am, 76-year-old John Beek of Boyden was driving a 2013 Ford Edge on the parking lot of First Reformed Church. According to the report, Beek experienced a medical condition, lost control of the vehicle and struck the church building.

No injuries were reported.

The Ford received $3000 damage.

Beek was transported by the Boyden Ambulance to the Sheldon Hospital for treatment of his medical condition.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Boyden Fire Department and Boyden Ambulance.
