Crash Sends OC Woman To Hospital

Orange City, Iowa — An Orange City woman was injured in a traffic crash late Friday morning in Orange City.

Orange City-Alton Police say the crash happened around 11:20 Friday morning at the intersection of 2nd Street Northwest and Florida Avenue Northwest.

According to the report, a 2010 Jeep Compass, driven by 69-year old Gloria Jackson, of Orange City, was eastbound on 2nd Street Northwest when, police say, she failed to yield to a northbound 2010 Ford Fusion, driven by 56-year old Donna Siebersma Klein, also of Orange City.  The two vehicles collided in the intersection.

Police say Siebersma Klein was transported to the Orange City Health System Hospital by Orange City Ambulance in the aftermath of the crash.

According to the accident report, Jackson was ticketed for Failure To Yield To A Vehicle On The Right.

Damage to each vehicle was estimated at $6-thousand.
