Inwood, Iowa — A Flandreau, SD man was taken to a hospital after an accident near the Big Sioux River in Lyon County.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office reports that about 1:15 PM on Friday, November 20, 2015, 41-year-old Oscar Morales Gomez of Flandreau was eastbound on Highway 18, about five miles west of Inwood in a 2015 Ford van owned by U-Haul, when he lost control on the snow. The vehicle entered the north ditch and overturned onto its side.
The Canton-Inwood Ambulance took Morales Gomez to Sanford Canton-Inwood Hospital.
The Sheriff’s Office says the Ford U-Haul van received about $4500 in damages.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Department reports that the Inwood Fire and Rescue crews and the Canton-Inwood Ambulance crew assisted them on the scene.
