Hartley Man Allegedly Had Drugs When Arrested On Warrants

lightbar with hand cuffsHartley, Iowa — A Hartley man faces potential charges in O’Brien County after being arrested by a Clay County Deputy Sheriff recently.

According to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, a Clay County Deputy made contact with 30-year old Jeremy Dean Bobzien of Hartley because he had prior knowledge that there were active arrest warrants for Bobzien.  Deputies say the warrants, for Interference With Official Acts and Trespassing, were confirmed and Bobzien placed under arrest.  According to authorities, upon searching Bobzien, deputies recovered a hypodermic syringe and a cellophane wrapper containing eight white pills, which were reportedly identified as Hydrocodone.

Bobzien was transported to the Clay County Jail in Spencer.  Deputies say that, since the initial contact with Bobzien was made on the Clay-O’Brien County Line, slightly inside O’Brien County, the syringe and pills wee turned over to the O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office, where charges are pending.
