Intersection Obstruction Leads To Accident

The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office reports that at about 1:33 pm on Monday, August 17th, 84-year-old Orville Tewes was driving a 1997 Chevrolet  Pickup northbound on Starling Avenue, west of Gaza. Fifty-eight-year-old Randy Roghair was driving westbound on 440th Street in a 2005 Ford F350. According to the report, Crops located on the southeast corner of the intersection on Starling and 440th acted as an obstruction to Tewes’s vision. Tewes struck Roghair, causing the F350 to spin sideways and come to rest facing southeast.

The Chevy received $3783 damage. The Ford received $4589 damage.

No injuries were reported.
