Sioux Center PD Charger Door Logo Only -- brighterSioux Center, Iowa — Two vehicles were damaged in an accident in Sioux Center on Sunday, September 25th when they collided at a Sioux Center intersection.

The Sioux Center Police Department reports that at about 7:07 pm on Sunday, 20-year-old Danika Wagenaar of Sunnyside, Washington was driving a 2012 Hyundai Elantra eastbound on 4th Street Southwest in Sioux Center. Nineteen-year-old Jessica Hulley of Boyden was driving a 2001 Ford Mustang southbound on South Main Avenue. According to the report, Wagenaar was turning north onto South Main Avenue, looked to the north but was unable to see southbound traffic due to vehicles parked alongside the road and struck Hulley.

The Hyundai received $4,000 damage; the Ford received $2,000 damage.

No injuries were reported.

Two vehicles were damaged when they collided at a Sioux Center intersection on Saturday, September 24th in Sioux Center.

According to the Sioux Center Police Department, at about 6:07 pm on Saturday, 19-year-old Claire Garrison of Lorimor, Iowa was driving a 1999 Chrysler sedan northbound on Highway 75 in Sioux Center. Nineteen-year-old Jarod Leloux of Doon was driving a 2005 Ford F-150 southbound on Highway 75. The report states that Garrison attempted to turn left onto 20th Street and collided with Leloux.

The Chrysler received $2,500 damage. The Ford received $3000 damage.

Garrison reported minor injuries but refused further medical treatment.

An Indiana man struck a fire hydrant while texting and driving on Wednesday, September 21st in Sioux Center.

The Sioux Center Police Department reports that at about 3:30 am on the 21st, 21-year-old Gunnar Breymann of Sandpoint, Indiana was driving a 2000 Toyota Camry northbound out of the northwest Wal-Mart parking lot exit. According to the report, Breymann was texting while driving when he lost control of his vehicle. The report continues, that Breymann crossed 16th Street and struck the fire hydrant on the north side of the road.

The Toyota received $500 damage, and they fire hydrant received $1,000 damage.

No injuries were reported.

Two vehicles were damaged in an accident near the Sioux Center High School on Monday, September 19th in Sioux Center.

The report says that at about 3:30 pm on the 19th, 18-year-old Andrea Verburg of Orange City was driving a 2001 Pontiac Grand Am out of a parking spot on 7th Avenue Northeast in Sioux Center. 17-year-old Mauricio Martin Ramos of Sioux Center was driving a 2004 Toyota Camry northbound on 7th Avenue, going past the High School. According to the Sioux Center Police Department, Verburg started backing out of the parking space and onto the road toward the north and backed into Martin Ramos.

The Pontiac received $1,000 damage. The Toyota received $2,000 damage.

No injuries were reported.
