Alton, Iowa — A Le Mars man was injured after his vehicle was rear ended near Alton on Monday, March 27th.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that after 2:45 pm on Monday, 63-year-old Anthony Pick of Le Mars was driving a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado northbound on Highwya 60, four miles southwest of Alton. Thirty-six-year-old Joanna Bennett of Primghar was driving a 2006 Ford Expedition northbound on Highway 60, behind Pick. According to the report, Bennett became distracted by a child in her vehicle and struck Pick.
The Chevrolet received $4,000 damage; the Ford received $5,000 damage.
Pick report minor injuries but declined further medical attention.
