The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office reports that at about 7:55 pm, 54-year-old Brent Robert Beck was driving a 2001 Ford F350 eastbound on Highway 9. According to the report, two black cattle, belonging to Michael Rolfes of Sibley, were on Highway 9. Due to the dark color of the cattle and the darkness outside, Beck was unable to see the cattle and struck both of them.
The Ford received $15,000 damage. The cattle were valued at $20,000 and $15,000.
No injuries were reported.
