Larchwood, Iowa — No one was injured in a two vehicle collision south of Larchwood on Saturday, May 13th.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office says that just before 8:45 Saturday evening, Annie Harris of Harrisburg, South Dakota was driving a 2008 Ford Edge northbound on Highway 182 and attempting to turn onto 180th Street, south of Larchwood. Karenna DeWeerd of Inwood was driving a 2000 Dodge Intrepid southbound on Highway 182. According to the report, DeWeerd was unable to avoid striking Harris in the intersection.
Deputies say Harris’ Ford received an estimated $10-thousand damage; with damage to DeWeerd’s Dodge estimated at $6-thousand.
No injuries were reported.
