Orange City, Iowa — An Orange City man struck a parked car in Orange City on Friday, June 24th.
The Orange City Police Department reports that at about 11:33 pm on Friday, 18-year-old Carter Foughty of Orange City was driving a 2006 Hyundai sedan southbound on Central Avenue in Orange City. According to the report, Foughty was driving with his knee and looked at his cell phone to check the time. Foughty crossed the center line and struck a 2004 Buick Rendezvous that was legally parked on the east side of Central Avenue.
The Hyundai and Buick each received $3500 damage;
