Paullina Man Arrested After Accident

O'BrienSheriff obriensheriff O'Brien SheriffPaullina, Iowa — A Paullina man was arrested after he rolled his vehicle on Tuesday, October 13th near Paullina.

The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office reports that at about 7:30 am, 23-year-old Joshua Jederberg of Paullina was driving a 2002 Ford Ranger on Sorrel Avenue, east of Paullina. According to the report, Jederberg admittedly was driving too fast when he attempted to turn west on 450th Street. Jederberg stated he lost control of the vehicle, which went into the south ditch and rolled onto its side.

The report continues that Jederberg did not report the accident and towed the vehicle out of the ditch with another vehicle. He was located miles from the accident scene and was allegedly found to be intoxicated and was subsequently arrested. The officer says the actual owner of the vehicle is supposed to provide proof of insurance at a later date.

The Ford received $1500 damage.

No injuries were reported.
