Sioux Center Police Chief Paul Adkins says that they arrested 38-year-old Jerod Work recently. The chief says Work was an employee of Lewis Family Drug in Sioux Center. He says that over the last several months, Work is alleged to have stolen merchandise, which they believe did not include prescription drugs. Adkins says Work is also alleged to have used his key to get into the store after hours and steal merchandise. Adkins says that since there was no forcible entry, it was not a burglary, but since Work was allegedly somewhere he shouldn’t have been, he was charged with trespassing.

Work was arrested and charged with 34 counts of Fifth Degree Theft and eight counts of trespassing. He was taken to the Sioux County Jail where jail records indicate he was held on a $21,000 unsecured bond. He was released the same day after posting unsecured bond.
