Rock Rapids, Iowa — A Rock Rapids man was taken to a hospital after an accident in Rock Rapids on Thursday, September 15th.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office reports that 20-year-old Keisha Van Veldhuizen of Rock Rapids was driving a 2007 GMC Yukon south on Lincoln Street in Rock Rapids. Twenty-three-year-old Brendan Ryan of Rock Rapids was driving a 2003 Subaru Impreza eastbound on 1st Avenue East. According to the report, Van Veldhuizen entered the intersection without yielding to Ryan and struck Ryan’s vehicle in the driver side door pushing the vehicle up onto the curb.
Ryan was transported to the Sanford Rock Rapids Hospital by private vehicle for a possible injury.
