Rock Valley, Iowa — A Rock Valley man was taken to the hospital after an accident in Rock Valley on Sunday, November 12th.
The Rock Valley Police Department reports that about 7:20 p.m., 48-year-old Allen Alderson of Rock Valley was driving a 2005 Pontiac, making a left turn from Main Street onto Valley Drive. They say 24-year-old Jocelyn Mulder of Spirit Lake was eastbound on Valley Drive in a 2002 Oldsmobile SUV.
The report says that Alderson took the corner too sharp and the front of his vehicle collided with the front of Mulder’s SUV.
The Rock Valley Ambulance took Alderson to Hegg Health Center Hospital.
Alderson’s Pontiac sustained $5000 in damages, and Mulder’s Oldsmobile SUV sustained $2500 in damages.
Alderson was charged with a “turning at intersection violation.”
