Rock Valley, Iowa — A Rock Valley teen was taken to the hospital after an accident on Tuesday, August 15th.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that about 11:35 a.m., 14-year-old Angelique Kiyombo of Rock Valley was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado northbound on Elmwood Avenue, about two and a half miles south of Rock Valley. The report says she lost control of the vehicle, which entered the east ditch and rolled.
The Rock Valley Ambulance took Kiyombo to Hegg Memorial Hospital in Rock Valley.
The Chevrolet sustained about $7,000 in damage.
Kiyombo was cited for failure to maintain control.
The Sheriff’s Office says the Rock Valley Police Department, Rock Valley Fire Department, and Rock
Valley Ambulance Squad assisted them with the response to the accident.
