Sheldon, Iowa — A Sheldon man hit a mailbox on Sunday, February 14th in Sheldon.
The Sheldon Police department reports that at about 6:23 pm on Sunday, that 30-year-old Shane Smith of Sheldon was driving a 2006 Jeep westbound on Railroad Avenue in Sheldon. According to the report, Smith was making a left turn, lost control due to the surface condition, and struck a mailbox.
The Jeep received $2000 damage. The Mailbox received $100 damage.
No injuries were reported
