Sheldon Man Injured in Accident

Sheldon, Iowa — A Sheldon man was injured in an accident in Sheldon on Thursday, June 30th.

The Sheldon Police Department reports that just after 9:15 pm on Thursday, 23-year-old Jeffrey Russoli of Rocklin, California was driving a 2001 Honda eastbound on Highway 18, stopped at the stop light at the intersection with Washington Avenue in Sheldon. Fifty-six-year-old Nancy Lawler of Sheldon was driving a 1999 Buick LeSabre was westbound on Highway 18. According to the report, Russoli was turning left when the light turned green, failed to see the LeSabre and collided in the intersection.

A passenger in Lawler’s vehicle, 59-year-old Robert Lawler was injured in the accident, but declined medical treatment.

The Honda received $1000 damage; the Buick received $5000 damage.
