Spencer, Iowa — A Sibley teen and Storm lake man’s vehicles were damaged after they collided at an intersection near Spencer on Friday, April 28th.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office reports that at 2:15 pm on Friday, 19-year-old Jose Aguilar of Sibley was driving a 2005 Dodge Neon northbound on 180th Avenue, five miles west of Spencer. Jacob Jepson of Storm Lake was driving a 2004 GMC Yukon Denali westbound on 340th Street. According to the report, Jepson was approaching the intersection of 180th Avenue and 340th Street when Aguilar entered the intersection immediately in front of Jepson. Jepson was unable to avoid Aguilar and they collided in the intersection.
The Dodge received $5,000 damage. the GMC received $3,500 damage.
No injuries were reported.
