Sioux Center Woman Hits Barricade

Hull, Iowa — A Sioux Center woman’s vehicle was damaged after she struck a road closure barricade near Hull on Tuesday, May 2nd.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that just before 8:15 am on Tuesday, 84-year-old Elizabeth Dokter of Sioux Center was driving a 2011 Buick Enclave northbound on Hickory Avenue, four miles south of Hull. According to the report, Dokter struck a Sioux County Highway Department road closure barricade.

Dokter’s Buick sustained an estimated $3,000 in damage, whiledamage to the barricade was estimated at $500.

No injuries were reported.
