Three Vehicle Accident in Sheldon

sheldon police pdSheldon, Iowa — Three vehicles were damaged in an accident on Friday, January 8th in Sheldon.

The Sheldon Police department reports that at about 5:32 pm on Friday, 58-year-old Esther Flores of Hartley was driving a 2005 Chevy Trailblazer eastbound on Highway 18 in Sheldon. Thirty-year-old James Johnikin of Sioux Falls, South Dakota was driving a eastbound on Highway 18 in a 2005 Jeep Cherokee, behind Flores. 51-year-old Brenda Tremmel of Sheldon was driving a 2014 Ford Focus westbound on Highway 18. According to the report, Flores lost control of her vehicle and slid onto the shoulder. The report continues that Johnikin then struck Flores with his right rear bumper, causing the Jeep to spin into the path of the Ford.

The Trailblazer received $1000 damage; the Jeep received $4000 damage. The Ford received $5000 damage.

No injuries were reported
