Bussing Information:

George-Little Rock – Hard surface only pick up until further notice. Please contact Ashley Eben at 712-348-4451 if you have questions or concerns.

Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn — Buses on hard surface roads only for all bus transportation until further notice.

Sheldon Community Schools – buses will travel only where possible until further notice. If the bus cannot pick up your student(s) and you can’t get your student(s) to the school, it will be an excused absence. Please call in and let the secretary know your child(ren) won’t be coming in because of the roads.

Sibley-Ocheyedan  – Buses will travel only where possible until further notice. If the bus cannot pick up your student(s) and you can’t get your student(s) to the school, it will be an excused absence. Please call in and let the secretary know your child(ren) won’t be coming in because of the roads.

South O’Brien School will run emergency bus routes until further notice.

SANDBAGS:

In Rock Rapids sandbags & sand are sitting outside of the city shop on 3rd Ave. You will need to bring your own shovel & fill your own sandbags. Some people are concerned with water around their window wells. Questions please call the city office at 472-2553.

Sandbags are available by the Sheldon Fire Department. Volunteers needed

Sanborn – sandbags are in the gravel lot located south side of the Christian Reformed Church (corner section of Western Ave and W 2nd Street)

Hartley – Hartley Street Department Building – located on the west side of the building (140 3rd Street SW)

Primghar – O’Brien County Engineer Shop – located on the south side of the building, an orange cone is next to the pile of sand (140 5th Street NE)

Paullina – O’Brien County Engineer Shop – located on the south side of the building, an orange cone is next to the pile of sand (604 S Maple Street)

Sibley – The city of Sibley is making sand available to residents to use in sandbags. Sand can be found at the street shop on 12th street. Residents should go through the fence and take sand from the pile in the Northeast corner. Residents must fill, please bring your own shovel. Limited number, only take what you will need. Questions, please contact City Hall.

Sutherland –  O’Brien County Engineer Shop – located on the east side of the building (307 S Highview St)
