Women in the Outdoors Event

prairie Heritage Center 2Women, are you interested in learning new outdoor activities in a supportive environment?  A full slate of activities is on tap for this year’s Women in the Outdoors Event sponsored by the National Turkey Federation and the Lyon,

Make a feast in a Dutch oven!  Sharpen your prairie plant identification skills.  Take aim with a long bow and spear.  Learn about bison and monarch butterflies. Pick up some helpful tips on dog training.  All of these activities are covered with a $45 registration fee.  The fee also includes a National Turkey Federation membership, subscription to the Turkey Federation magazine, and the noon meal.

The Women in the Outdoors Event will be held on Saturday, September 12th at Prairie Heritage Center near Peterson, Iowa.  Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. and the event will conclude at 4:30 p.m.  There is an optional canoe float on the Little Sioux River on Friday, September 11 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
