Community Blood Bank Blood Drive in Sibley
July 19 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
Osceola Community Hospital and Community Blood Bank will host a community blood drive on Thursday, July 19 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm at Osceola Community Hospital.
Community Blood Bank is hospital operated with a joint shared resource of Avera and Sanford Health Systems, meaning when you donate on the bloodmobile the donation will go directly back to Osceola Community Hospital to save local lives.
“The summer months are considered some of the most difficult when keeping up with the demand for blood products within our community,” states Ken Versteeg, Executive Director, Community Blood Bank. “There are many weeks where our usage is outpacing collection by a significant amount. Our hope is to keep the summer months strong with an ample blood supply and keep this momentum moving to avoid any summer blood shortages. Join us to save lives within the community and impact the community in many ways.”
Donors must be at least 17 years of age (16 years old with a signed parent consent form found at www.cbblifeblood.org), weigh 110 lbs. or more and be in good general health the day of the blood drive. Community Blood Bank is proud to be the sole provider of blood to Osceola Community Hospital for over 16 years. For more information or to make an appointment please call 836-1286. Walk-ins are welcome.
Community Blood Bank is a self-sufficient blood bank cooperative of Sanford and Avera Health and is not associated with any other blood bank organization.
