The O’Brien County Conservation Board has been offering a variety of events to celebrate space this year. The next event on the calendar is “Earth’s Shadows.” This event will be held at the Prairie Heritage Center, 4931 Yellow Avenue, on Thursday, September 26 beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Participants will explore how the earth makes shadows as the sun begins to set. Did you know that you can tell time by looking at the eastern sky as the sun goes down? Come out to learn more about this and other interesting things that shadows can tell us about space.
