Paws for a Cause Fun Run and Doggie Dash to Benefit Partners for Patriots
June 23 @ 8:30 am
Revival Animal Health will host Paws for a Cause, a 5K fun run and one-mile doggie dash, on Saturday, June 23, 2018. The event will raise money for Partners for Patriots, a non-profit organization that provides service dogs to disabled veterans and those suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). The event will begin at Windmill Park in downtown Orange City at 8:30 am, with the doggie dash participants departing immediately following the start of the 5K race.
Participants can either run or walk the 5K. Runners or walkers can opt to do the one-mile doggie dash with or without a dog if they prefer a shorter course. At the conclusion of the race, there will be refreshments, including a non-dairy doggie ice cream social for all four-legged participants.
Partners for Patriots, based in Sioux City, IA, trains dogs to assist their service members with daily tasks in order to help their owners gain confidence and become more independent. Partners for Patriots has placed dogs with veterans both locally and across the country.
Those interested in donating or registering for the race can do so online at www.getmeregistered.com/PawsforaCauseRun. The cost is $25 and all proceeds will be donated to Partners for Patriots. Participants who register before June 8th will receive a race t-shirt. Registration will also be open the morning of the race from 7:15 am to 8:15 am at Windmill Park.
