Hartley City Council Meeting

The Hartley City Council met in regular session Monday, December 10, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers.
Mayor Clayton Pyle presided with the following Council Members present: Ron Hengeveld, Jerry Olson, Brad Meendering and Gina Wiekamp. Others present: Dennis Cmelik, Mike Petersen, Mike Boeve, Patty Anderson, Dave Triemer, Liz Norgaard and Marilyn Tesch. Council Members absent: Kevin Snider.
Hengeveld made the motion, second by Meendering to adopt the agenda. Motion carried 4-0.
Wiekamp made the motion, second by Olson to approve the consent agenda. Motion carried: 4-0.
Kevin Snider present at 5:04 p.m.
Snider made the motion to approve Transfer of Wellmark Employee Health Insurance Agent of Record to Roger Rodd gpl Group Benefits, LTD, Urbandale, Iowa. Seconded by Hengeveld and upon roll call being called: Kevin Snider, Gina Wiekamp, Jerry Olson, Brad Meendering and Ron Hengeveld voted aye. Motion carried 5-0.
Wiekamp made the motion to approve the Iowa Water/Wastewater Agency Response Network Mutual Aid Agreement. Seconded by Meendering and upon roll call being called: Gina Wiekamp, Jerry Olson, Brad Meendering, Ron Hengeveld and Kevin Snider. Motion carried 5-0.
Meendering made the motion to approve employee holiday bonus of $225 Chamber Dollars for full-time employees and $120 for permanent part-time employees. Seconded by Olson and upon roll call being called: Jerry Olson, Brad Meendering, Ron Hengeveld, Kevin Snider and Gina Wiekamp voted aye. Motion carried 5-0.
Hengeveld made the motion to approve December 24th as an employee holiday. Seconded by Snider and upon roll call being called: Brad Meendering, Ron Hengeveld, Kevin Snider, Gina Wiekamp and Jerry Olson voted aye. Motion carried 5-0.
City Attorney Dennis Cmelik provided an update on abandoned property and DeWild Grant Reckert’s Preliminary Plat of Survey regarding location of utilities and utility easements in Crossan’s 3rd Addition and the need for utility easements in some areas.
The Mayor declared the regular meeting adjourned at 5:22 p.m.
