O’Brien County Supervisors Meeting March 13th

PROCEEDINGS OF O’BRIEN COUNTY SUPERVISORS

 March 13, 2012

 The Board of Supervisors met as per adjournment in regular session at 9:00 a.m. with all members present.

 At 9:00 a.m. a hearing was held to amend the current year county budget.  There were no objections presented. 

 Moved by J. Haack, seconded by Farnsworth to adopt the amended fiscal 2012 county budget as published.  Motion carried by all ayes.

 Moved by Farnsworth, seconded by R. Haack to adopt the amended appropriations resolution for the current year county budget.  Motion carried by all ayes.

At 9:30 a.m. a hearing was held for the Fiscal 2013 County Budget.  There were no objections or comments presented.

Moved by R. Haack, seconded by J. Haack  to adopt the Fiscal 2013 County Budget as published less the reduction in the Mental Health Fund levy to reflect the State’s change in funding of the State Property Tax Relief back to the original amount of $495,020.  The Mental Health Fund levy remains at the maximum allowed by law.  Motion carried by all ayes.

Moved by J. Haack, seconded by DeBoom to approve the proceedings of March 6, 2012.  Motion carried by all ayes.

Moved by DeBoom, seconded by Farnsworth to approve the liquor license application of Meadowbrook Golf & Country Club.  Motion carried by all ayes.

Moved by J. Haack, seconded by DeBoom to approve an underground utility construction application for Premier Communications along County Road B-40 near Primghar.  Motion carried by all ayes.

Moved by Farnsworth, seconded by R. Haack to approve a tile crossing application for Greg Burmakow between Sections 34 & 35, Dale Township.  Motion carried by all ayes.

Moved by J. Haack, seconded by DeBoom to authorize the Chairperson to sign a rental agreement with Jimmy Talsma for a parking area at the Sheldon Maintenance Shop.  Motion carried by all ayes.
