Orange City Council Minutes
April 21, 2014
The City Council of Orange City met in regular session pursuant to adjournment at 4:30 o’clock P.M. with Mayor Deb De Haan presiding. Members present were Rod De Boer, Chad Oolman, Steve Roesner, Mick Snieder, and Earl Woudstra. All members voted aye on the following unless otherwise noted.
Approved the minutes of the April 7, 2014 council meeting.
Approved the monthly financial report, as published.
Approved the monthly bills, subject to audit.
Council member Chad Oolman entered the meeting.
Approved providing a dollar for dollar match, up to $30/foot, for the residents on Harrisburg Place that will have the new Frankfort Place extension from Fareway to 11th Street SE in their backyards to install a fence on their property following the Zoning Ordinance.
Adopted a resolution proposing to vacate and dispose of municipally owned real estate, the alley lying just north of the First Reformed Church building, and setting 4:30 P.M. on May 5, 2014 as the time for a public hearing.
Approved the temporary appointments of Jason Bomgaars, Dave Duistermars, and Mark Lundberg to the Board of Appeals.
Adopted a resolution adopting the Revolving Loan Fund Work Plan.
Approved the liquor license applications of Fareway, 88 Chinese Restaurant, and Cinco De Mayo.
Discussed the submittal of an application for a FY2015 IDOT State Airport Development Grant. No official action was taken.
