The Board of Supervisors met as per adjournment in regular session at 9:00 a.m. with all members present.

Moved by Farnsworth, seconded by Friedrichsen to approve the proceedings of May 27, 2014. Motion carried by all ayes.

Moved by Friedrichsen, seconded by McDowell to hold hearings on June 24, 2014 at 9:02 a.m. and June 30, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. on Proposed Amendments to County Ordinance No. 7, Titled: O’Brien County General Assistance Ordinance. Motion carried by all ayes.

Moved by Farnsworth, seconded by McDowell to approve the drain tile crossing application of Frontier Grain Farm in Section 36, Center Township. Motion carried by all ayes.

Moved by Friedrichsen, seconded by McDowell to approve the utility construction application of Windstream Communications Inc. in Section 23, Union Township. Motion carried by all ayes.

Moved by Farnsworth, seconded by Steensma to accept the quote of Midwest Service & Sales for motorgrader blades at $25,280.15. Motion carried by all ayes.

Moved by Friedrichsen, seconded by Farnsworth to adopt the following resolution. Motion carried by all ayes.

Resolution No. 2014-22
RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, O’BRIEN COUNTY, IOWA

WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors is empowered under authority of Section 306.41 of the Code of Iowa to temporarily close sections of road by formal resolution when they deem necessary for construction, maintenance, or natural disaster,

AND WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors, County of O’Brien, have determined that the following section of road should be temporarily closed due to road construction:

Bridge Replacement (2-3 Carroll) Feekes Bridge

County road Oak Hill Ave. from 330th Street to 340th Street

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the above described roads be closed temporarily in the manner described below.

“ROAD CLOSED” signs shall be placed on both ends of the described segments of road, and they shall remain in place until the construction is completed.

Moved by Friedrichsen, seconded by Farnsworth to adopt the following resolution. Motion carried by all ayes.

Resolution No. 2014-23
RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, O’BRIEN COUNTY, IOWA

WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors is empowered under authority of Section 306.41 of the Code of Iowa to temporarily close sections of road by formal resolution when they deem necessary for construction, maintenance, or natural disaster,

AND WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors, County of O’Brien, have determined that the following section of road should be temporarily closed due to road construction:

Bridge Repairs (2-11 Hartley) Otto Entrance Bridge

County road 280th Street from Wilson Ave. to Yew Ave.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the above described roads be closed temporarily in the manner described below.

“ROAD CLOSED” signs shall be placed on both ends of the described segments of road, and they shall remain in place until the construction is completed.

Moved by Friedrichsen, seconded by Farnsworth to adopt the following resolution. Motion carried by all ayes.

Resolution No. 2014-24
RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, O’BRIEN COUNTY, IOWA

WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors is empowered under authority of Section 306.41 of the Code of Iowa to temporarily close sections of road by formal resolution when they deem necessary for construction, maintenance, or natural disaster,

AND WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors, County of O’Brien, have determined that the following section of road should be temporarily closed due to road construction:

Grading (34 Highland – 3 Liberty) Fisch Dirt Road

County road 450th Street from Taft Ave. to Tanager Ave.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the above described roads be closed temporarily in the manner described below.

“ROAD CLOSED” signs shall be placed on both ends of the described segments of road, and they shall remain in place until the construction is completed.

Moved by Friedrichsen, seconded by Farnsworth to adopt the following resolution. Motion carried by all ayes.

Resolution No. 2014-25
RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, O’BRIEN COUNTY, IOWA

WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors is empowered under authority of Section 306.41 of the Code of Iowa to temporarily close sections of road by formal resolution when they deem necessary for construction, maintenance, or natural disaster,

AND WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors, County of O’Brien, have determined that the following section of road should be temporarily closed due to road construction:

Grading (32 Highland – 5 Liberty) Hartong Dirt Road

County road 450th Street from Sorrel Ave. to Starling Ave.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the above described roads be closed temporarily in the manner described below.

“ROAD CLOSED” signs shall be placed on both ends of the described segments of road, and they shall remain in place until the construction is completed.

Moved by Friedrichsen, seconded by Farnsworth to adopt the following resolution. Motion carried by all ayes.

Resolution No. 2014-26
RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, O’BRIEN COUNTY, IOWA

WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors is empowered under authority of Section 306.41 of the Code of Iowa to temporarily close sections of road by formal resolution when they deem necessary for construction, maintenance, or natural disaster,

AND WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors, County of O’Brien, have determined that the following section of road should be temporarily closed due to road construction:

Cullvert Replacement (27-34 Dale) Rohwer Culvert

County road 440th Street from Redwing Ave. to Redwood Ave.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the above described roads be closed temporarily in the manner described below.

“ROAD CLOSED” signs shall be placed on both ends of the described segments of road, and they shall remain in place until the construction is completed.

Moved by Friedrichsen, seconded by Steensma to adjourn to June 10, 2014. Motion carried by all ayes.
