PROCEEDINGS OF O’BRIEN COUNTY SUPERVISORS

The Board of Supervisors met as per adjournment in regular session at 9:00 a.m. with all members present.

Moved by DeBoom, seconded by McDowell to approve the proceedings of February 19, 2013. Motion carried by all ayes.

Moved by Steensma, seconded by Friedrichsen to accept the quote of Crop Production Services at $23,210.50 for chemicals. Motion carried by all ayes.

Moved by DeBoom, seconded by Steensma to authorize the Chairman to sign the Region 3 federal aid project application for $840,000 in federal funding for an overlay of 7 miles of County Road L-48 in the 2017 construction year. Motion carried by all ayes.

Moved by DeBoom, seconded by McDowell to adopt an amendment to Section 18 of the Employee Conduct Code in the current employee handbook. Motion carried by all ayes.

Moved by Friedrichsen, seconded by Steensma to increase the Sheriff’s hourly rates for the Dispatchers, Jailers and Food Service staff by $.72 per hour effective July 1, 2013. Motion carried by all ayes.

Moved by Steensma, seconded by DeBoom to set the Jail Maintenance/Custodian’s salary at $43,576 effective July 1, 2013. Motion carried by all ayes.

Moved by DeBoom, seconded by Steensma to set the Sheriff’s Administrative Assistant’s annual wage at $42,625.00 effective July 1, 2013. Motion carried by all ayes

Moved by Friedrichsen, seconded by DeBoom to approve a claim to Toshiba Financial Services for $180.29 for copier rental and copy overages. Motion carried by all ayes.

Moved by Friedrichsen, seconded by DeBoom to adjourn to March 5, 2013. Motion carried by all ayes.
