PROCEEDINGS OF O’BRIEN COUNTY SUPERVISORS

The Board of Supervisors met as per adjournment in regular session at 9:00 a.m. with all members present.
Moved by Steensma, seconded by McDowell to approve the proceedings of February 26, 2013. Motion carried by all ayes.
Moved by Friedrichsen, seconded by Steensma to approve the claim to Cindy Thompson for janitorial services at $162.31. Motion carried by all ayes.
Moved by Friedrichsen, seconded by DeBoom to authorize the Chairman to sign a letter of support for legislation to provide for county-wide taxation of erosion control structures rather than agricultural land only as the law currently reads. Motion carried by all ayes.
Moved by DeBoom, seconded by Friedrichsen to approve the underground construction application of Windstream Communications between Sections 1 & 2, Caledonia Township. Motion carried by all ayes.
Moved by Friedrichsen, seconded by Steensma to approve the rental contract with James Talsma Trucking for parking at the county shed in Sheldon for $480 per year March 1, 2013 through February 28, 2014. Motion carried by all ayes.
Moved by DeBoom, seconded by McDowell to approve the quote of Ymker Insulation Inc. at $22,634.65 for spray on insulation at the Archer Shop. Motion carried by all ayes.
Moved by DeBoom, seconded by Steensma to accept the quote of Murphy Tractor & Equipment for a John Deere 4-Wheel Drive Loader at $141,003.00 with the possible trade in of a 1996 Case Loader that would then net at $113,003.00. Motion carried by all ayes.
Moved by DeBoom, seconded by Friedrichsen to adjourn to March 12, 2013. Motion carried by all ayes.
