Boyden Teen, Boyden Woman Taken To Hospital After Accident

Boyden, Iowa — A Boyden teen and a Boyden woman were both taken to the hospital after an accident on Friday, May 12, near Boyden.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that about 3:45 p.m. 16-year-old Sara Kosters of Boyden was driving a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee eastbound on 290th Street, about four miles northwest of Boyden. They report that 68-year-old Donna Rohde of Boyden was driving a 2014 GMC Acadia southbound on Jay Avenue. The report says both drivers entered the intersection where the accident happened.

The Boyden Ambulance took both Kosters and Rohde to the Sanford Sheldon Hospital.

The Kosters Jeep sustained about $10,000 in damage. The Rohde GMC sustained about $20,000 in damage.

The Sheriff’s Office reports that the Iowa State Patrol, Boyden Fire Department, and Boyden Ambulance crew assisted them with the response to the accident.
