Deputies Kept Busy With Pair Of Accidents

O'BrienSheriff obriensheriff O'Brien SheriffO’Brien County, Iowa — O’Brien County Deputies were kept busy with a pair of accidents Tuesday.

The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office reports that at about 4:40 am on Tuesday, that 39-year-old Joshua Avery of Granville was driving a 2003 Ford F-150 northbound on Nettle Avenue, south of Sheldon. According to the report, Avery lost control of his vehicle due to road conditions, entered the west ditch and rolled.  The Ford received $3,114 damage.

Deputies say that at about 3:00 am, 34-year-old Andrew Britt of Remsen was southbound on Highway 59 south of Calumet in a 2015 Dodge Ram pickup. According to the report, Britt lost control due to the road conditions, entered the east ditch, rolling and coming to rest on the driver’s side.  The Dodge received $5,913 damage.

No injuries were reported in either accident.
