Grain Wagon Tips In Accident

The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office reports that at about 7:31 pm on Monday, 72-year-old Bradley McDowell was driving a 1995 Chevrolet pickup westbound on 360th Street. Sixty-five-year-old Dennis Pearson of Hartley was driving a 1982 John Deere farm tractor pulling 2 grain wagons full of grain westbound on 360th Street as well. According to the report, McDowell ran into the back of the grain wagons, causing one to roll onto its side. The report continues that McDowell saide he did not see any lights on the rear of the wagon. Pearson showed the police officer a single yellow amber flashing light on the wagon. Pearson told that he needs a steady red light on the rear of the wagon also but did not have one.

The Chevrolet received $3500 damage; the tractor received $4000 damage.

No injuries were reported
