Hartley Man Injured In Sheldon Crash

Sheldon, Iowa — A Hartley man was injured after his pickup collided with a Sheldon man’s pickup on Monday, May 1st, near Sheldon.

The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office reports that at 4:45 pm on Monday, 29-year old Eric Jacobson of Sheldon was driving a 2013 Dodge Ram 1500 northbound on Nest Avenue, southeast of Sheldon. Forty-one-year-old Shane Boelman of Hartley was driving a 2003 Chevy Avalanche eastbound on 330th Street. According to the report, Jacobson approached the intersection stop sign, looked but did not see Boelman, then pulled into the path of the Boelman vehicle.

Jacobson’s Dodge sustained an estimated $16,000 damage, with damage to Boelman’s Chevy was estimated at $15,000 damage.

Boelman reported minor injuries, but declined treatment.
