Hospers Man Charged After 700 Pigs Found Dead

Keaven FaberHospers, Iowa — A Hospers man is charged with Animal Neglect after an investigation by the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office.

According to authorities, in December the Sheriff’s Office received a report that numerous feeder pigs had died at a hog confinement near Hospers.  Deputies say their investigation led to the arrest of 24-year old Keaven Faber of Hospers, who, deputies say, owned and controlled the confinement operation.

According to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office, deputies discovered that approximately 700 pigs had died at that confinement, allegedly due to neglect and lack of proper care.

Deputies report that Faber is charged with Animal Neglect as a result of their investigation.
