Hudson Woman Arrested On Felony OWI Charge

Rock Valley, Iowa — A Hudson, South Dakota woman has been arrested after results of a blood test came back recently.

Chief Monte Warburton of the Rock Valley Police Department reports that they arrested 36-year-old Ashley Loeschen of Hudson this week after blood test results became available from the Iowa Crime Lab.

He says the arrest stemmed from a traffic stop. According to Warburton, in February, Rock Valley Police officers stopped Loeschen on suspicion of driving while her license was revoked. He says at that time, the officers were suspicious that Loeschen was under the influence of something other than alcohol. He says they obtained and carried out a search warrant for blood withdrawal.

When the results came back this week, an arrest warrant was obtained, Loeschen was arrested, and was taken to the Sioux County Jail in Orange City. The jail reports that she was released that same day after posting a $1000 bond. No court dates have yet been set.
