Hull Woman Taken To Hospital After Three-Vehicle Crash

Hull, Iowa — A Hull woman was taken to a hospital after a chain-reaction crash near Hull on Wednesday, June 27th.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that about 11:40 a.m., 45-year-old Sara Vink of Hull was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe eastbound on 310th Street (Highway 18), two miles west of Hull and was slowing for the stop sign at Highway 75. They report that 36-year-old Derek Allen of Hawarden was driving a 2006 GMC Envoy eastbound on Highway 18 behind Vink. The Sheriff’s Office says 20-year-old Kylie Van’t Hul of Hull was driving a 2002 Dodge Intrepid eastbound on 18 behind Allen when she struck the GMC. They report that the impact pushed Allen forward and his vehicle struck Vink’s.

The Hull Ambulance took Van’t Hul to the Sioux Center Health System Hospital.

The Vink Tahoe sustained about $200 in damage. The Van’t Hul Dodge sustained an about $4,000 in damage. Allen’s Envoy sustained about $3,000 in damage.

The Sheriff’s Office says they cited Van’t Hul on a charge of failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle.

They say the Hull Fire Department and Hull Ambulance Squad assisted them on the scene.
