Larchwood Woman Arrested, Accused Of Vandalism At West Lyon

Inwood, Iowa — A Larchwood woman has been arrested after authorities say she damaged property at the West Lyon Community School north of Inwood.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office says one of their deputies arrested 24-year-old Amanda Hoffman of Larchwood and took her to jail.

They say she was charged with Second Degree Criminal Mischief, a class D felony.

According to the criminal complaint, the deputy believes that on Saturday, July 14th, Hoffman drove around in circles on the school’s football field and the grass portion of the playground, tearing up and destroying grass in the process. The deputy also believes Hoffman spray-painted the side of one of the outbuildings on the West Lyon property.
