Orange City, Iowa — An Omaha man faces a felony charge in connection with the theft of a vehicle from Orange City in late January.
Orange City Police say they received a report of a 2003 GMC Envoy SUV stolen from an Orange City residence, back on January 27th.
On February 3rd, Orange City Police say they received information from the Council Bluffs Police Department that the stolen Envoy had been involved in a hit and run crash in Council Bluffs.
This Monday (February 5th), The Omaha Police Department notified the Orange City Police that they had recovered the stolen Envoy, and arrested Ramone Lamont Mosley of Omaha, and that Mosley was being held at the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office in Omaha.
Orange City Police say that, upon further investigation, they have filed charges of 2nd Degree Theft against Mosley. 2nd Degree Theft is a Class D Felony.
If convicted on the charge, Mosley could face up to five years in prison.
