Orange City Man Arrested For Pair Of Burglaries

Orange City, Iowa — An Orange City man was arrested Tuesday on charges stemming from a pair of burglaries in Alton earlier this month.

Orange City Police say the charges against 32-year-old Brian Duane Cook, Jr. of Orange City stem from burglaries that happened on June 1st, and June 11th of this year.

According to police, on June 1st, Cook is accused of burglarizing Zestos in Alton. He is charged with 3rd Degree Burglary and 4th Degree Theft in connection with that incident.

Officers say Cook allegedly burglarized Zestos in Alton again on June 11th. He faces 3rd Degree Burglary charges, as well as 3rd Degree Theft, and 5th Degree Criminal Mischief in the June 11th incident.

According to authorities, Cook allegedly made off with money, food, jewelry and miscellaneous items in the two incidents.

As of late Wednesday morning Cook remained in the Sioux County Jail on the charges.
