Pair Charged In Hospers Burglary

Hospers, Iowa — The investigation into an October burglary at a Hospers business has resulted in the arrest of two Spirit Lake men.

According to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office, 18-year old Brayde Koos and 20-year-old Travis Johnson are charged with breaking into Hospers Furniture in Hospers in October of last year, making off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Both men are charged with 3rd Degree Burglary, a Class D Felony, and 5th Degree Theft, a misdemeanor.

Deputies say Koos was arrested on the charges.  Johnson was already in jail in Dickinson County on unrelated charges, and is also being held on a Sioux County warrant for burglary and theft.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office was assisted in their investigation by the Orange City Police Department, Spirit Lake Police Department and the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office.
