Primghar Man’s Pickup Rear Ended By Rock Valley Man’s Semi

A Primghar man’s pickup and a Rock Valley man’s semi were damaged in an accident on Tuesday, March 11th

The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office reports that at about 7:18 PM on the 11th, 84-year-old Joseph Stoll of Primghar was southbound from a private farm on 390th Street in a 2004 Chevy pickup.Thirty-eight-year-old Matthew Westra was eastbound in a 2004 Peterbilt Semi, pulling a trailer, on 390th Street.  Stoll looked to the west as the sun was going down and did not see anything coming and pulled into traffic to go east. Westra blew his air horn and slammed on the brakes but was unable to avoid colliding with Stoll in the rear. Stoll then entered the south ditch and went into a pasture.

Stoll’s Chevy received $6000 damage. Westra’s Peterbilt received $2000 damage.

There were no injuries reported
