Primghar Woman One Of Three Arrested In Spencer

Spencer, Iowa — A Primghar woman was one of three people netted in a drug raid this past weekend in Spencer.

Spencer Police Chief Mark Warburton says his department executed a search warrant at 511 E 19th St #16 on Saturday.  Warburton says during the search several individual baggies of marijuana were located along with scales, money, and instruments commonly used to smoke marijuana.

According to Warburton, as a result of the search, police arrested 35-year old Marissa Belle Hopcroft Primghar for possession of a controlled substance, namely marijuana, a serious misdemeanor.
Also arrested were 29-year old Christian Johnathan George of Spencer on charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver marijuana, a class D felony, Failure To Affix A Drug Tax Stamp, a class D felony), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor, and criminal trespass, a simple misdemeanor, along with  28-year old Katherine Marie Blackson of Spencer, who was charged with possession of a controlled substance, namely marijuana, a serious misdemeanor, according to Chief Warburton.
He says all subjects were booked into the Clay County Jail.  The Spencer Police Department was assisted by the Clay County Sheriff’s Department.
