Rock Rapids — A rural Rock Rapids woman was injured in an accident on Tuesday, November 24th in Rock Rapids.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office reports that at about 8:00 am on Tuesday 38-year-old Sarah Schultz of Rock Rapids was driving a 2010 Subaru Legacy westbound on South 6th Avenue in Rock Rapids. Twenty-five-year-old Mindy Van Westen of Rock Rapids was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Impala southbound on South Greene Street. According to the report, the two met at then uncontrolled intersection where Schultz’s vehicle struck Van Westen’s vehicle.
The Impala received $4000 damage; the Subaru received $3000 damage.
Van Westen went to Sanford Rock Rapids via personal transportation to be evaluated.
