Sioux Center, Iowa — A Rock Valley teen was injured after he hit the back end of another vehicle in Sioux Center on Tuesday, July 25th.
The Sioux Center Police Department reports that at 3:50 pm on Tuesday, 17-year-old Samuel Thorne of Rock Valley was driving a 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser southbound on Highway 75 in Sioux Center. Sixty-two-year-old David Bearman of Marcus was driving a 2015 Ford Explorer southbound on Highway 75, ahead of Thorne. According to the report, Thorne said he possibly fell asleep or blacked out and collided into the rear Bearman’s SUV.
Thorne reported minor injuries but declined further medical attention.
The PT Cruiser received $4,000 damage; the Ford received $3,500 damage.
