Sibley Man Involved In Injury Collision Near Windom

Windom, Minnesota — A Sibley man has been involved in an accident near Windom, Minnesota in which a Heron Lake man was taken to a Sioux Falls hospital.

The Minnesota State Patrol reports that about 2:35 p.m. on Sunday, December 23, 2018, 64-year-old Ronald Paulo of Heron Lake was driving a 1980 Mercedes northeast-bound on Highway 60, two miles southwest of Windom. They report that 57-year-old Michael Block of Sibley was also northeast-bound on 60 in a 2013 Peterbilt.

The report says that Block did not see the Mercedes and rear-ended the vehicle pushing it off the road. They say the car came to rest in the ditch rolled over.

An ambulance took Paulo to Sanford University Medical Center in Sioux Falls. Block reported no injuries.

The Windom Fire Department and Ambulance Squad, the Jackson County and Cottonwood County sheriff’s offices, and the Windom Police Department assisted on scene.
